Sacramento SCORE covers Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, San Joaquin, Sutter and Yolo Counties.
SCORE simplifies the confusion by reminding you about the basics in business. Our classes and counseling help you become a Well-Run business, by returning to those basics.
If you are in the process of starting a business then our 101 class "How To Develop an Idea into a Business" is a great next step! We answer the most common questions our clients ask and introduce you to SCORE's methodology, mentors, and tools.
Ready to test your business model and get feedback on your ideas and progress? Already in-business, but looking to take it to the next level? Try one of our other classes, the Sounding Board, or one-on-one counseling.
The Sacramento SCORE chapter is staffed entirely by volunteer who are all successful business owners or executives.
Working with local partners such as the SBA, we provide education, counseling and networking opportunities to entrepreneurs and small business owners. These services are on a no-fee basis as part of the value we provide to the community.
SCORE's mentors, comprised of active and retired business men and women, provide clients with free and confidential business counseling. Counseling can be conducted at the client's place of business, at our chapter headquarters, by telephone or via email. If you are not already in business, please use this link to register for our 101 class where you will meet counselors who specialize in helping new business startups!
SCORE mentors and representatives from the local business community conduct a variety of regularly scheduled, low-cost educational workshops that provide valuable information and techniques necessary for establishing and managing a successful business.
With access to a wide variety of documents, templates and tools to assist you in starting or growing your business, the information provided here covers a wide range of subjects including initial business planning, capital sources, government agencies, and much more.
