Becoming a “Well-Run” Business!
... by knowing how to operate a healthy business, point it in the right direction and
ultimately get more customers.
SCORE has developed a series of classes to unlock the secrets of becoming a “Well-Run” business.” The 3-categories–Operate, Navigate, Communicate–included in this series will help you organize your business better so it can flourish.
This enlightening new series will begin on Wednesday September 7th and go for the next six Wednesdays, ending on October 12th. We will convene at 7AM for coffee with class beginning sharply at 7:30 and finishing by 8:30AM.
These 1-hour classes will be brought to you in conjunction with the City of Roseville, and will be held at this location:

In this class you will learn the concepts for forecasting sales, increasing gross profit, controlling expenses, reducing receivables, controlling inventory, forecasting cash flow and budgeting.

What systems, procedures and people management does it take to be a Well Run Business?
In this class you will learn the need for internal systems, customer related systems and procedures, improving internal processes, quality and yield and getting the most out of your employees.
Class #3: Navigation– Where is your business headed?

Where are you aiming?
In this class you will learn how to pick a destination so that you can aim properly. And choose a niche where your business can grow. We will discuss the following issues:
• Vision, Goals, Strategies and Tactics
• How to choose a niche
• Being unique
Class #4: Navigation– Where is your business headed?

In this class you will learn how to make good course adjusts along the way. We will discuss the following issues:
• Industry changes & Associations as sources
• Focus on WHO rather than WHAT.
• Allow the customer to guide you.
Class #5: Communications– How to get more customers

In this class you will learn “How to get more of the right customers,” a common struggle nowadays in this business climate. We will discuss the following issues:
• Why don’t I have enough customers?
• Who are my best customer?
• How to target more of the right customers.
Class #6: Communications– How to get more customers

In this class you will continue to learn “How to get more customers,” and know what to say to them when you find them.
We will discuss the following issues:
• What are my clients really looking for?
• How do I write an effective message?
Taking some time away from your busy schedules is always a challenge, but missing this information could be worse. Knowing the right perspectives can change everything.
These sessions will be filled with dialog so you to learn from other business owners what works for them and what does not. SCORE is there to facilitate the best possible environment for you to gain what’s needed.
